The organization was founded in 2001. A group of women from the neighborhood gathered to cook children in order to solve one of the neighborhood needs: food.
Facing the crisis of those years, many families were left without resources and
resorted to the dining Rayito de Luz.
Located in the Bajo Flores of the Federal Capital, in the surrounding of 11-11-14 neighborhood, they meet various socioeconomic needs of people who live in vulnerable situations. The center has spaces for food, education, culture and health.
Blanca decided to name the dining room as “Rayito de luz” which refers to the “transit of children who have transformed the energy of the place, filling it with light”.
