Manantialitos is a community dining room located in El Manantial, Moreno, Buenos Aires. Gladis Taboada, the person in charge, began at the courtyard of her house in 2019 preparing food for the people of the neighborhood, concerned about the poverty that she saw growing each day.
The pandemic motivated them to expand the assistance to more families and to build a community space that doesn’t only function as a dining room but also as a place where people can meet, be taken care of and grow. There are also educational workshops for children and young people, health operatives for families and trade activities for mothers.
